
Former Manchester United footballer Ryan Giggs arrives at Manchester Crown Court
The court hears Kate Greville messaged a friend saying her sister Emma was “unhappy” about her staging a photo for a newspaper following Ryan Giggs’s alleged assault.
Ms Greville tells her friend her sister thinks it is “immoral”.
The court hears Giggs’s mother messaged Ms Greville asking if she was okay after a story appeared in the press.
“Not really, burst into tears before I even got out of bed,” Ms Greville wrote.
The court hears details of Ms Greville’s letter she wrote to Giggs called “the final goodbye”.
In the letter, she branded Giggs a “compulsive liar” and “serial cheat”.
“I wanted to believe the things you told me,” she wrote.
“I stayed loyal and committed to you, no matter what.
“I think you underestimated my ability to find things out.”
Ms Greville then listed women she claimed that Giggs was having “full-on” relationships with during the course of their relationship.
She said she knew Giggs was “sending dirty messages about threesomes” to one woman and that he had been seeing a woman who is now married to a cricketer.
“I haven’t brought this up to your face because you’d just tell me lies,” Ms Greville wrote.
“You will never lie to me or cheat on me again.”
Ms Greville wrote that she wanted to keep Mac the dog and accused Giggs of “arrogance” and a “lack of respect” towards her.
“If you want to be happy with someone, don’t lie and don’t cheat,” she wrote.
“Goodbye Ryan, it’s been extremely emotional.”
The trial has broken for lunch and will resume shortly after 2pm.
The court hears Kate Greville messaged a friend saying “I have a plan to leave next week” and wrote a letter called the “final goodbye”.
“Better than watching Jeremy Kyle that,” her friend responded.
The court hears Ms Greville sent a message about instructing a solicitor to stop stories appearing in the press.

Ms Greville responded: “Need to sell some more stories.”
The court hears a message Kate Greville sent to Ryan Giggs in 2020 saying “lips done baby”.
“Took her nearly two hours,” she wrote.
“Lips are f***ing killing.”
The jury hears Ms Greville sent a message to a friend saying “I need a plan” and spoke of having her coil removed.
She later wrote to a friend: “Been awake planning my attack.”
The court hears Ms Greville’s messages when she told Giggs she had a smear test that showed “cancerous cells” and she had to go to hospital.
She previously admitted during her evidence that this was a lie and she was going to an appointment to get her coil removed.
The trial has resumed after a short break in proceedings.

“I will find someone a million times better.
“I feel sorry for all the women you’re going to hurt.”

Earlier, the court heard Giggs sent a message to Ms Greville on New Year’s Eve 2017 which said:

“I is for idolised, by me,
“L is for legs,
“L is for legs,
“E is for everything I’ve ever wanted.”
There is a short break in proceedings.
The court hears messages exchanged between Ryan Giggs and Kate Greville in which the footballer wrote: “Please come back Kate.”
She responded: “I’m not coming back to Manchester. It’s for the best if we don’t see each other again.”
The court hears Giggs sent a message to Ms Greville’s friend Katie Harvey saying “tell her to come back” and “it was a stupid drunken argument”.
The court has previously heard Giggs called Ms Greville by the name of his ex-wife Stacey during an incident in Dubai.
In messages, Ms Greville wrote “you called me Stacey several times” and later added that “we’re over.”
Giggs apologised for her calling her Stacey and said “you’re forgetting how we got there”.
The court hears the footballer wrote to Ms Harvey saying “I miss Kate like crazy” and “I love her so much”
“Clearly there are issues but isn’t that every relationship,” he added.
The courts hears Ryan Giggs sent photos of his work schedule while he was manager of the Wales football team to Kate Greville.
Messages exchanged between the pair after a row are read to the jury.
“I’ve obviously massively p***** you off,” Ms Greville wrote.
She later added: “I’m not a bad person Ryan.”
In his response Giggs wrote: “I’ve never said you were a bad person.”
The court is hearing messages Ryan Giggs and Kate Greville exchanged after he walked out of a restaurant following a row.
Giggs has previously told the court they argued because he was messaging his daughter who had been injured playing netball.
Giggs wrote to Ms Greville that he left because she was “being unreasonable”.
Ms Greville responds that “nothing other than me telling you I was cheating warrants you walking out”.
In further messages, Ms Greville says to Giggs “it’s like you’re criticising me for not having kids”.
Giggs later wrote to Ms Greville that he has “always let people down”.
The court hears a poem Kate Greville wrote to Ryan Giggs which included the line: “You make my heart skip a beat, I even love massaging your feet”.
Further messages are read out where Ms Greville complains that Giggs has not responded to her.
“I’ve just sorted the kids out,” Giggs wrote.
“So that stops you replying for an hour,” she responded.
The court hears a message Kate Greville sent to Ryan Giggs where she said “my sex bruise is coming out nicely”.
She later wrote: “Thank you for making me the happiest girl in the world.”
In another message Ms Greville wrote “Ryan Giggs – that is seriously naughty and f***ing hot”.
Giggs told Ms Greville he was “punching” and in another message said: “You make me feel alive” and “you make me want to work harder every day”.
